Here at ‘The City of Play’ we pride ourselves in our ‘playful’ design philosophy. With all our projects we aim to bring a sense of fun alongside professionalism. This is not only shown in our aspirations for children’s play spaces but from residential projects, public spaces and our graphic illustrations.
Through our research of play and investigation of design ideas we have developed a Design Policy for Play. Our policies act as a guide for the design process and are the five main criteria we strive to achieve and promote in urban play projects. They outline our aim to provide safer and better designed environments which are openly accessible to all.
Positive Play activity supports almost every aspect of a child’s development and can significantly improve the way in which we perceive our urban space. We believe that it is important to implement change to facilitate a sense of play in our cities; in order to nurture those essential life skills needed for them to become healthy, functional members of society.
