Therapy Landmarks

We were commissioned by Ginkgo Projects & Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity to realise their ambitions for ‘Therapy Landmarks’; an artworks intended to motivate physical activity and provide a series of milestones for rehabilitation. The proposals sought to ‘gamify’ the landscape allowing for spontaneous play and formal exercise while incorporating technology to ‘future proof’ the project.

The proposals include a series of decoratively perforated steel panel ‘milestones’ and bold ground marking designs to invite and encourage various activities. Our designs developed from an extensive period of engagement and consultation with patients, visitors and staff of the hospital which included surveys, interviews and games to test ideas and promote engagement. This project is currently ongoing with a projected completion date of Winter 2020.
