We were commissioned by Playground Ideas as part of a team to design & build a playground in a primary school in the Bahamas that would improve the outdoor learning opportunities within the school grounds and be robust enough to withstand the hurricane season.

A key part to the success of the project was utilising local resources, expertise, knowledge and materials throughout the 2 week build. All in preparation for the main event; facilitating and coordinating 190 volunteers in 1 day to finalise the construction and decoration of the playground. To maximise time efficiency and volunteer output, we created a 3D sketch up model of each item while providing clear simple instructions for the volunteers to follow how each item should be constructed. We were also onsite to manage the event ensuring a successful outcome.
