Playground Ideas, Myanmar

Following the completion of his involvement in the Playground Masterclass in India, Grant teamed up with artist, Socheata Kong, of Playground Ideas to create two unique play spaces in the Yangon Region of Myanmar, an interior play area within 'Flowers' Education Centre and new playground within a Bhuddist Monastic School.

Grant and Socheata created opportunities for imaginative play within thee Foyer of Flowers education centre in introducing pretend shop fronts, tyre bumper cars and loose parts play resources.

While a consultation with the monks, orphans of civil unrest, who reside at their school also brought up themes of 'playing shop'. The team created miniature market stalls from locally available materials and created several other peices of play equipment by repurposing old truck tyres.
