Prior to co-founding The City of Play, Bobby worked in a architecture practice, becoming a key member of the core design team specialising in residential design. Invaluable practical experience was gained through working on over 40 housing projects, developing an understanding of how to manage a project from beginning to end.
Jenny recently completed her PhD at Heriot-Watt University, where she explored the relationship between the Scottish town planning system and children’s rights (as laid out in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child). This focused particularly on the right to play and the right to participate in decision-making, through participatory research with children in primary school, and through techniques such as interviewing and policy analysis. Jenny has a degree in Urban and Regional Planning, and has worked with the voluntary sector to help bring children into planning projects. She has experience working with both primary and secondary school children in the UK, and is passionate about furthering the environmental experience of children through planning and design.
