"The theme for my thesis regards Child Development, more specifically child’s development through play. This study understands the importance and benefits of play within everyday of a child’s life for almost every aspect of their development into adults. Play is essential to development because it contributes to the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional well-being of children and youth. Play also offers an ideal opportunity for parents to engage fully with their children. Through a study of the importance of play, play activity benefits and ‘good’ play facility provision this projects aims, not only, to provide a greater quality of life for the individuals now but to safeguard their future. This will be achieved by making learning and development opportunities much more fun and accessible for children, thereby improving their educational attainment, future health and employment prospects."
